Padman: First poster of the Akshay Kumar starrer is out now

While the moviegoers are still obsessed with Superman and Batman, our very own Akshay Kumar is back as ‘Padman’, the man who made affordable sanitary napkins for women.
The first poster of Akshay Kumar ‘Padman’ is out and is definitely intriguing. The film is slated to hit the theatres on Republic Day, January 26, 2017.

The film is Twinkle Khanna’s production venture in association with Gauri Shinde and is being helmed as their pet project which is the biopic of a real life hero Arunachalam Muruganantham who made a pad-making machine for women to provide them low-cost sanitary napkins.The man, who was called psycho and mad, for his initiative is now being helmed as Padman and the film is an ode to him.
‘Padman’ also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte who play the female leads in the film. Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in a special cameo in the film. Written and directed by R Balki of ‘Ki and Ka’ fame, ‘Padman’ definitely looks promising with its first poster that shows Akshay Kumar on a bicycle.
